If you
think museum is such a boring place, then try this recently opened art museum in
Pattaya. “Art in
Paradise” the first 3D wall painting art museum in Thailand.
Mr.Shin
Jae Yeoul (44 years old) and his family moved from South-Korea to settle down
in Thailand and invited his business partners - 11 people including himself –
invested for more than 50 million Baht in this art museum. Turned the 5,800 sqm
of this old night club in Pattaya to a modern, interactive art museum.
Mr.Shin is
graduated from Hongik University, one of the most famous art universities in
South Korea. Also, he is the ex-manager of ‘Jeju Love Land’ - sex education
museum on Jeju island,
South Korea.
Back for
years ago, Mr. Shin and his business partners would like to open a Thai version
of ‘Jeju Love Land’ called ‘Pattaya Love Land’ but this project has failed at
the first step, as the Thai governor didn’t give permission to him to open this
kind of museum here in Thailand.
Afterward,
he came back with a new idea of opening 3D wall painting art museum and
everything seems to be successful with this project. He invited other 6 South
Koreans artists to help creating their artworks on the plain-white wall. 3D
wall painting art idea is inspired by the famous French artist, Mr. Shin said.
This kind of art is well-know in Korea, Japan, China and now Thailand.
